Tributes to late hospital porter Henryk

Mr Henryk Zygmunt Ciesielski, aged 70, of Carter Lane, was cremated at Mansfield Crematorium, following a service in the chapel.

Born in Scotland and a resident of Mansfield for 68 years, Henryk worked at Landers Bakery, Thomas Cotton’s and Harlow Wood Hospital as a porter for more than 25 years, retiring due to ill health when the hospital was demolished.

His main interest was photography and he enjoyed taking all kinds of pictures.

Henryk, who passed away at home on October 31, 2017, leaves his wife Helen and son Maxamillion.

Mourners were Mrs H. Ciesielski, Mr M. Ciesielski; Mr and Mrs J. Boulton (rep Mr and Mrs J.V. Curley); Mrs M. Wilson (rep Mr S. Wilson), Mr D. and Mrs M. Marriott; Mr T. Dowson and Ms P. Eaton (rep Mansfield Welfare Rights), Ms O. Mair, Mr N. Foale; Brian (rep Sonya), George; Mrs A. Bailey and Mrs S. Partridge (rep Acorn Medical Practice); Mrs J. Jackson (rep Mr C. and Mrs S. Wilson, Mrs V. Hill and Ms R. Weaver).

Floral tributes were from family only.

The service was conducted by Sonia Tate and arrangements were by Ken Gregory & Sons, Mansfield.
