Roadworks, delays and diversions

There are a number of on-going roadworks across the area that are likely to have an impact on traffic and could cause delays.

Nottinghamshire County Council is carrying out road repairs on the A38/A617 King’s Mill Road East at Sutton.

Running until January 30, the work includes temporary traffic lights which the authority says are likely to cause some delays for motorists.

The county council is also carrying out road maintenance work on the A6117 Violet Hill Road in Mansfield.

Work here runs until January 25 and again involves temporary lights that may involve delays.

Severn Trent Water is carrying out work on Leeming Lane South, Mansfield Woodhouse.

Running from 20th to 22nd January, the work involves multi-way temporary lights and is described as ‘high impact’ with delays likely.

There will a temporary road restriction in place at Sutton Junction level crossing from 11.30pm on Saturday, January 24 to 8am on Sunday, January 25. Traffic will be diverted via Coxmoor Road, King’s East and Station Road.

There will also be a temporary road closure at Sherwood Street, Annesley Woodhouse, from 8am on February 2nd to 6pm on February 6th to allow Severn Trent to carry out sewer maintenance work.

The road will be closed from its junction with Glebe Street for 30 metres.
