Motorists warned notorious Mansfield area black spot flooded
As storm Francis batters through Nottinghamshire, notorious flooding spot Rufford Ford is now not passable for vehicles, the fire services have warned.

Edwinstowe Fire Station tweeted this afternoon: “Please do not use the Rufford Ford today. Redwatch have been down this morning and it is currently impassable. The road closed signs are out and the Ford is coned off, please do not risk it.” The ford on Rufford Lane has had more people rescued from floodwater by the AA than any other UK location.
