Find out which bus stations are now open across Nottinghamshire

Councillor John Cottee said: “Whilst all the bus stations have been accessible for people to catch their bus for essential journeys, the bus station buildings have been closed.

“As the lockdown restrictions are changing, we have been working hard to enable the reopening of some of the facilities for passengers. We are introducing robust control measures to help limit the spread of coronavirus and will monitor passenger levels to ensure people can maintain a social distance, implementing further control measures as and when required.

“Social distancing markings are in place throughout the stations and an enhanced cleaning regime has been introduced. Please be aware that bus operators have had to limit the number of passengers that can travel on a bus, and following government guidelines, we have also reduced seating capacity in all our stations.

I would like to ask people that if they have any symptoms of Coronavirus to please not travel. Instead, stay at home, self-isolate and arrange a test.

Mansfield Bus Station building remains open but currently closes at the earlier time of 8pm Monday to Sunday. Later buses depart from Bay A.

Newark Bus Station building opened on Tuesday 3 June and is open from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday.

Worksop Bus Station building reopened Thursday (4 June) and will open from 7am to 7pm, Monday to Saturday. Outside of these times, passengers can continue to use the side gate for access.

At Retford Bus Station, passengers can access their buses through the out of hours side gates and current monitoring of passenger numbers indicates that passengers are able to maintain a social distance. Retford Bus Station building will remain closed until further notice.

Before you travel, consider if your journey is necessary and if you can, stay local. Try to reduce your travel. This will help keep the transport network running and allow people who need to make essential journeys to travel. If you can, wear a face covering if you need to use public transport. This will be mandatory from June 15.
