Broken down vehicle triggers lane closure on M1 in Derbyshire

One lane of four is currently closed on the M1 northbound between J28 Tibshelf and and J29 (Mansfield/Chesterfield) after the vehicle broke down this on the motorway this afternoon (Wednesday, December 9).

Highways England said the scene is currently being cleared and motorists can expect normal traffic conditions to resume between 3.15pm and 3.30pm.

Nobody is understood to have been hurt in the incident.
