Trains disrupted by industrial action

Train maintenance staff will be striking as part of the industrial action by members of the Unite Union until Thursday.

As a result there will be some changes to East Midlands Trains services.

From today until Thursday buses will replace trains on the following routes:

Nottingham - Mansfield / Worksop

Doncaster - Lincoln

Nottingham - Newark North Gate - Cleethorpes via Lincoln

Derby - Matlock

Leicester - Lincoln

The majority of services will continue to run as normal to and from London, although a number of services may operate with fewer carriages than usual.

A full train service will run to and from Skegness, Boston, Sleaford, Grantham and Nottingham.

The majority of train services will run as normal between Derby, Uttoxeter, Stoke on Trent and Crewe.

Trains between Liverpool Lime Street, Manchester and Nottingham will run as normal.

Customers travelling to and from Grantham, Peterborough, Ely and stations to Norwich may need to change trains at Nottingham - a revised rail replacement bus service will run between Nottingham and Norwich.

Alternative routes where tickets will be accepted include:

-CrossCountry services between Peterborough and Ely and between Derby and Nottingham

-Greater Anglia services between Norwich, Cambridge, Ely and Peterborough

-Stagecoach buses routes X1 and X4 between Kettering and Corby

Passengers with advance tickets for services which will not run should use their ticket on the revised East Midlands Trains service as close as possible to the original time booked.

If you decide not to travel you can apply for a refund. Tickets will be refunded from the point of sale.
