TRAFFIC: A1 closed north of Nottinghamshire
Motorist are being warned to avoid the A1 south of Nottinghamshire after a motorist crashed and plunged into a river.
The northbound carriage way between junction 36-37 is closed as emergency services work at the scene to remove the vehicle from the River Don.
More than 10 ambulances and police were cars are currently at the scene and traffic is being diverted, so delays are expected.
The incident is thought to have happened at around 6.30am this morning, and there are no details yet on casualties.
