Cllr Jason Zadrozny, Leader of Ashfield District Council says “It’s great that Ashfield is once again a part of this prestigious sporting event, last year residents really embraced the race and we hope they’ll do the same this year. It provides an opportunity for residents to experience a world class sporting event on their doorstep for free, and is an opportunity for Ashfield to put itself on the map. Last year 39% of people viewing the Nottinghamshire Stage were visiting the county, with a large number of these visiting Ashfield, and we hope to increase on that this year. I encourage as many residents as possible to get involved and get out and watch the race.”
