If you’ve received outstanding and dedicated care from someone at King’s Mill Hospital in Sutton, now is the time to give them the recognition they deserve.
For the Sherwood Forest Hospitals Trust, which oversees King’s Mill, is looking for nominations for its annual Chief Nurse Awards.
You have until next Friday (May 11) to put forward a nurse, midwife, support worker, health professional or student for an award.
There are several categories, as well accolades for support worker of the year, student of the year and a lifetime achievement award. There is also special gong, chosen and presented by the Chief Nurse, Suzanne Banks, for outstanding contributions to leadership and empowering and inspiring others.
Suzanne said: “We are immensely proud of the hard work and dedication shown by our staff. It is a positive time to celebrate what the Trust has achieved so far.”
Nominations can be made via an entry form on the Trust’s website. Alternatively, completed forms can be e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or sent by post to King’s Mill Hospital.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony at Kelham House in Newark on Friday, June 8.
ONE of last year’s winners, epilepsy nurse specialist Kirsten Johnson, has spoken of her pride at landing one of the Chief Nurse Awards.
Kirsten, who topped the category of respectful and caring, said: “It was lovely just to be nominated and to realise that my hard work was being recognised. But to win was amazing. I felt extremely valued that both staff and patients appreciated my help and the support that we provided as a team. We are a great team at Sherwood Forest Hospitals Trust and I feel very privileged to be part of it.”
As well as King’s Mill, the Trust provides healthcare services at Mansfield Community Hospital and Newark Hospital.
