The Community Star was launched by The Mansfield last year when the first winner was Jo Scott, of the Nottinghamshire Search and Rescue organisation, for her work in locating and rescuing a missing vulnerable person. Jo will be presenting this year’s award at the building society’s annual general meeting on Thursday, April 26 at Mansfield Library.

Nicola Caulton, of The Mansfield, said: “Through this award, we can share some of the terrific work being done by volunteers which is improving the quality of life for people.”

Nominations can be made on The Mansfield’s website.
