Tickets on sale for Derbyshire Food and Drink Fair

Derbyshire’s premier culinary celebration will take place in the picturesque grounds of Elvaston Castle Country Park for the second year running on the weekend of the 17th and 18th May.

Around 150 stalls will be selling tasty goodies - ranging from cakes and pastries to buffalo burgers, Derbyshire cheeses and locally-brewed beers.

And celebrity chef Dean Edwards, who was previously on MasterChef and a resident chef on This Morning on ITV, has signed up to stage cooking demonstrations alongside local chefs in the cookery theatre at the fair.

Coun Joan Dixon, Derbyshire County Council cabinet member for jobs, economy and transport, said: “The Derbyshire Food and Drink Fair was launched over a decade ago and has gone strength to strength since with a record 15,600 people attending last year.

“It is a fantastic day out for all of the family and it also helps to celebrate and support local food and drink producers and boost the local economy.”

There will be entertainment and live music throughout the weekend and a high quality arts and crafts marquee showcasing contemporary artwork and traditional crafts by Derbyshire artists.

The fair is being sponsored by McArthurGlen East Midlands Designer Outlet and any businesses wanting to book a stall or find out about sponsorship opportunities should contact Stephanie Walsh on 01629 538464 or email [email protected].
