Nottinghamshire Police confirmed officers attended the level crossing on Station Road, Sutton this morning.

They were called at around 7.45am to reports that the level crossing barriers were not closing, and attended to keep the public safe.

A spokesman for the force said: "Network Rail attended to fix the barriers. Officers attended to stop people going across the railway lines.

"The incident was resolved by 10am."
