A spokesman from the centre on Brake Road, Walesby, said: "They were unfortunately our only two quad bikes.

"The quads were for our international camp later this week and the theft will mean that the children will miss out on a popular activity.

"The police are looking at the CCTV cameras in the area so hopeful it won't be long before these callous criminals are caught."

The bikes which are Yamaha YFZ50 were stolen at 7pm on July 21.

A spokesman from the centre added: "There were 200 children in the centre when it happened, if soemone had been walking next to the gate I don't know what would had happened."

A Nottinghamshire Police spokeswoman said: "Our enquires are ongoing, if you are able to assist with our investigations please ring 101."
