Thieves steal cash machine in Edwinstowe

Four people wearing dark clothing broke into the Co-op store in High Street, at about 3am yesterday(Wednesday July 11).

They stole the cash machine and drove away in a dark coloured car.

Detectives are liaising with neighbouring forces to look at other burglaries of a similar nature to establish any possible links.

Richard Wilson, deputy manager of the store said: "Someone called the police on their way to work this morning. I came in and there were a few bits of the cash machine strewn in the road. This sort of thing doesn't happen often in Edwinstowe."

DI Steve Wragg said: “There was a lot of noise at the time of the break-in and I’d urge anyone who was alerted to what was happening, and saw anything at all, to let us know.”
