Staff and customers at the Co-operative in Stanton Hill held a variety of fundraisers to get £600 towards the installation a seat at a junction where a few paths join up.

They have worked with the Teversal Visitor Centre and Ashfield District Council to locate the seat on the trail.

The fundraising formed part of the supermarket’s annual charity fundraising exercise.

Council leader, Cheryl Butler, said: “The council is committed to ensuring there are high quality green spaces.”
