Teen robbed in Shirebrook

POLICE are appealing for information after a teenager was robbed of his mobile phone in Shirebrook.

Sometime between 5.45pm and 6.30pm on Thursday, 7th March, a 17-year-old boy was walking along a footpath leading to Swanwick Avenue when he was approached from behind.

The victim was threatened and pulled to the ground before having his Sony Xperia mobile phone stolen.

The offender is described as tall, of medium build and wearing a ski mask, a grey hooded top, grey jeans and black trainers.

A 22-year-old man has been arrested and released on bail pending further inquiries.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious.
