Teen cyclist robbed in Mansfield park

A teenage cyclist had his phone stolen while riding through a Mansfield park last week and police are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident.

The 15-year-old boy was on his bike near the back of Mansfield Manor Hotel, in Carr Bank Park, on Bath Lane, when he was confronted by two men who threatened him and snatched his phone before running off.

The boy was knocked to the floor and sustained minor injuries.

The suspects were white, aged between 17 and 19, about 5ft 9ins and 6ft tall and both of medium build with mousey brown hair.

One was wearing a brown coloured hooded top and the other a dark coloured hooded top. They both ran off in the direction of Sandy Lane.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the robbery, which happened at at about 3.15pm on Wednesday 7th May, to come forward.
