Teen charged after stabbing

A 17-year-old's been charged with grievous bodily harm and robbery after a man suffered a serious stab wound in Mansfield.

The 34-year-old was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre having been stabbed.

It happened in Tuckers Lane at around 7.45pm on Saturday. January 20.

The youth, who can’t be named for legal reasons, was arrested shortly after detectives were called to the scene.

A 16-year-old boy also arrested has been released under investigation.

The 17-year-old has also been charged with robbery relating to an incident in Harrop White Road on January 14, and attempted robbery after an incident in Westgate on January 12.

He’s been remanded in custody and due to appear in Nottingham Crown Court on Wednesday, January 31.
