Talented music students in Nottinghamshire given cash help

PROMISING music students can apply for cash help from a trust fund set up in memory of a former member of the Nottinghamshire County Youth Orchestra.

Singers or instrumentalists under 25, in full-time education and normally living in Nottinghamshire can seek assistance from The Danny Morris Memorial Trust Fund.

Danny was a talented young horn player who died from viral encephalitis, similar to meningitis, at the age of 19.

The trust was set up in 1985 and has distributed more than £15,000 to aspiring musicians.

For an application form write to Derek Wileman, 10 Dawn Close, Hucknall, Nottingham NG15 8DF or contact 0115 9638605.
