Take a walk on Pleasley’s wildside

Pleasley Pit Nature Study Group are to hold a wildlife day later this month.

There will be guided walks, activities fro children including pond dipping, a butterfly walk and bird ringing.

Organised for Sunday 25th May, from 10am to 4.30pm at Pleasley Pit Country Park, groups set to be in attendance include the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust, Mansfield RSPB group, Friends of Kings Mill, the Mid Derbyshire Badger Group, Bee & Butterfly Conservation Groups, Mansfield & Ashfield Branch of Notts Wildlife Trust, Mansfield & Ashfield Astronomical Society, St John’s Ambulance.

The Friends of Pleasley Pit will also be in attendance with the pit buildings open to visitors.

There will also be a table top sale and bottle tombola held.
