SUTTON: Sporting goods stolen

Sporting equipment has been stolen in two thefts in Sutton yesterday (Sunday, 13th October 2013).

Between 4am and 7.30am a Hillman golf caddy, a full set of Ben Sayers golf clubs, and a pair of black size eight golf shoes were stolen from a blue Vauxhall Astra, a police spokesman said.

The car was parked near the Diamond Club, in Stoney Street, when it had its window was smashed and the items taken. A Sony car radio was also taken.

Later the same day a black and yellow Carrera Tour de France racing bike was taken from a shed in Spa Close.

It is thought the burglary took place between 12pm and 4pm. The bike had the number 10825605 etched on the frame.

PCSO Thomas Nuttall said: “If you know about these thefts or you have seen someone with these items then we want to hear from you.

“Please keep your eyes open and get in touch if you have any information that could help the investigation.”
