BOSSES at Sutton’s King and Miller pub have become the latest business to pledge their support to Chad’s MRI Scanner Appeal.
The popular pub will be organising a variety of fundraising events to boost the coffers of our massive £750,000 charity campaign.
Chad teamed up with King’s Mill Hospital to launch the community-boosting appeal last month to help the hospital purchase a new state-of-the-art MRI scanner, which they say will help treat hundreds of thousands of patients over the next seven years.
The pub will be holding their next fundraiser for our appeal on 27th August, which will feature a variety of family-fun events, including bouncy castles, slides, play areas and raffles.
Matt Lawrence, King and Mill manager, said: “We have a charity each year and we wanted to make our latest charity as local as possible. We are right across the road from the hospital and this is the perfect charity for us.
“The MRI appeal is a good cause, which we will support until at least May.”
Donations to our MRI appeal can be made by visiting Chad receptions, calling the customer services department at King’s Mill Hospital on 01623 672222, by visiting Sherwood Forest Hospital’s NHS Trust website, through Just Giving or by cheque.
All cheques should be made payable to Sherwood Forest Hospitals Charitable Funds.
