SUTTON: Police officer suspended
A serving police officer has been charged with four counts of misconduct in a public office.
Intelligence officer DC Simon Abell, 41, based at Sutton, is alleged to have sent sexually explicit text messages and carried out sexually inappropriate behaviour against a woman between November 2011 and August 2012.
The officer has been suspended and bailed to appear at Nottingham Magistrates Court on 28 January.
