Sutton pair camp across Europe for England v Belgium World Cup match

A pair of patriotic Sutton friends have travelled over 1,200 miles to watch the England play Belgium in the World Cup match tomorrow (June 28).

The pair have camped for three days across Europe to be there for the match.

Dene Potter and Jason Marlow set off at 3AM on 25 June to catch the ferry from Dover, before embarking on the 697 miles to their first stop in Wolfsburg, Germany.

The pair camped in Germany for one night, before driving to their next stop in Toulon, Poland.

After singing ‘football’s coming home’ in a karaoke bar in Tulon, and another overnight camp, Dene and Jason are now in Gdansk.

They will join other England fans on a coach to the Kaliningrad Stadium at 8am tomorrow.

Ann Fisher, a friend of the duo said: “All of Sutton are loving following their journey.”
