Sutton man faces child porn charges

Neil Batchelor, 51, of Chatsworth Street, did not indicate a plea when he appeared before magistrates in Mansfield on Thursday.

He was charged with three counts of making indecent photographs of a child between October 17, 2015, and March 3, 2016.

The court heard 75 of the images were classed as Category A - the most extreme category - while three were defined as Category B, and six were Category C.

He was also charged with one count of possessing an extreme pornographic image portraying an act of intercourse with an animal on March 2 2016.

Because of the nature of the offences the case was sent to Nottingham Crown Court for trial on August 4.

He was bailed until then on condition he does not have any unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 18.
