Andrew Goodwin was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply heroin and diazepam after officers searched his house back in July 2016.

The 37-year-old, of Forest Road, failed to appear at Nottingham Crown Court and a trial commenced in his absence. He was arrested before the trial ended and yesterday (May 18) he was found guilty and sentenced.

Constable Neil Hollinshead, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This has been an extensive investigation involving local officers, supported by the digital team and drugs experts.

“It was only possible to search his home after receiving information from members of the public.

“We are pleased to have gained this conviction and a strong sentence that will act as a deterrent to others involved in drug supply.”
