"His mum was sitting nearby, and they left before we could thank them.

"We still have the money, and would like to track down the little boy so he can buy himself something nice."

The couple were left stunned by the youngster and his mum's generosity.

Mrs Jackson added: "I couldn't believe it, you hear so many bad things about young people today, it was a really lovely gesture.

"I couldn't get out of my seat quick enough to say thank you.

"It stunned us, i'll never forget it."

Mrs Jackson described the boy as being around five years old, having brown hair, and wearing a school uniform blazer.

She could not see which school he was from, and would like to track him down to thank him and his mum.
