Post Office owners have urged Sutton residents to ‘use it or lose’ after their four year fight to get the service back up and running.

Tony and Monica Wallis ran the Post Office on Leamington Drive in the town, but was closed down by the post authorities. They set about fighting the changes to bring the service back to locals.

After four long years they have opened the service back up.

Tony (74) said it was such an important service for people to have.

He said: “When they first closed it down I couldn’t believe it, I knew what my customers wanted and needed so we set about trying to get it back. Which now, thank fully we have.”

It is open daily from 8am until 10pm Monday to Saturday, and is open 12pm until 10pm on Sundays.

“If people don’t use it, it will close again so we urge people to use it, or risk losing it.”

Sutton’s Station Road branch will close for two weeks in March while works takes place to modernise its facilities.

It closes on close from 5.30pm on Monday 9th March and re-opens on Wednesday 25th March.
