Survey on legal highs launched
The Legal High National Online Survey is the UK’s first independent, national, confidential online survey specifically about residents’ use and views of novel psychoactive substances (NPS) – also known as ‘legal highs’.
The survey – which is open only to residents aged 18 and over – aims to gather information about which legal highs are being used in different parts of the country.

Hide AdCoun Paul Smith , deputy cabinet member for health and communities, said: “This survey has the potential to provide good, accurate information that we currently lack – information about legal high use in Derbyshire, what people are taking and their experiences.
“We’re encouraging people to take part to support our work to reduce drug use and support people struggling with substance misuse and addiction and all the health problems that can go with it.
“The results will be invaluable in helping us help people make sensible, informed choices and to lead healthier lives.”
The survey will be conducted in the strictest confidence and people who take part could win an iPad.
The survey is open to UK residents aged 18 and over only and runs until Tuesday 30th September at www.mylegalhigh.org.
