Angela, a keen karaoke goer who loves to hit the stage in bars at Ingoldmells, Lincolnshire, said: “I didn’t think in a million years that I would ever get in – it must mean I was a really rubbish singer.

While the show was being filmed Angela was given a vocal coach and had two lessons a week in Sheffield.

She said: “I must have sounded really awful in the application for the show – I had to send in a video of me singing. I sounded like a strangled cat - when you see the show it you will understand.”

Angela said she has thought about having extra singing lessons now she is no longer filming for the show.
