Still time to film why you love Mansfield

There are just over two weeks left to enter the ‘I Heart Mansfield Film Festival’ competition, celebrating all the things that make the town so special.

Folk are being asked to make a short film about why they love Mansfield and what it means to them.

It could be your favourite park, local attraction, shop or building – or a place where you spend time or that brings back memories.

Films must be between 30 seconds and three minutes long and can take any form – such as a play, documentary or simply speaking on camera.

They can be shot on a mobile phone, camcorder or digital camera.

The best ones will be turned into a film called ‘I Heart Mansfield’, which will be premiered in the college’s new 150-seat theatre and shown on a giant screen in the Market Place as part of the new Mansfield Arts Festival in July, featured in last week’s Chad.

What’s more, a host of great prizes are up for grabs including an iPad 2, iPod Touch, camcorders and digital cameras donated by Gem Vending, Stone Group, Konica Minolta Business Solutions East and Phoenix Computers.

The competition is being run by Vision West Notts in conjunction with the Chad, the Mansfield Business Improvement District (BID) and Linney Group.

Entries close at 4pm on 30th March.
