STAGS striker Keigan Parker appeared in court today on Monday and admitted two charges of driving while banned.
Parker, currently on loan to Blue Square Premier League rivals Fleetwood Town, received a six-month driving ban at Hereford magistrates court last October.
The ban was imposed under the totting-up rules but he was not in court at the time and he told Chesterfield magistrates on Monday that he had been unaware of the disqualification.
Parker (28) of Blackpool, admitted driving while disqualified and without insurance in Mansfield Road, Doe Lea, on 3rd November and in Quarry Lane, Mansfield, on 17th January. He further admitted a speeding offence at Doe Lea.
He made a statutory declaration that he was unaware of his disqualification at the time of the offences and will ask the court to consider “special reasons” not to disqualify him at a hearing on 11th April.
Parker is allowed to drive pending the next hearing, which will be held at Chesterfield.
