Colleagues from The Co-operative Food store on Mansfield Road, Clipstone, will be using pedal power to visit local shoppers and let them know about the store’s £400,000 transformation.
On Thursday (2nd August) the new-look store will open its doors and the team will take to the streets on traditional style bicycles, delivering packages of Co-operative treats to homes neighbouring the popular food store on Mansfield Road. The packs will include The Co-operative’s Penne Pasta and Tomato and Garlic Pasta Sauce.
The fully refitted store will unveil a larger, ‘shopper friendly’ layout, making it simple for customers to find the day-to-day essentials they need. Additional self-scan checkouts will help customers complete their shop in a time that suits their busy lives.
Store Manager, David Harvey said: “Our shoppers lead busy personal and professional lives, they want a store that they can nip in and out of, grabbing the day-to-day items and quality fresh produce that they need, while still getting a high level of customer service. Whether they’re picking up bread for morning toast or looking for a tasty meal deal for dinner, they’ll find it in our store.
“I’m really looking forward to getting out and about and meeting the people that make our local community here in Clipstone what it is. There has always been a fantastic rapport between the store team and our customers when they come to do their shopping, so it’ll be a lovely change for us to go and visit them.”
To further celebrate the opening of the new-look Mansfield Road store, The Co-operative will be staging a series of promotions between 10am and 6pm on Thursday 2nd August and 12pm, 6pm on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th August.
