HELLO and welcome to the latest edition of Kids’ Squad. Now the new school term has started the sunshine seems to have come out! But I hope you are all managing to get outside and play in the evenings and at the weekends.
If you enjoy ice-skating then I have got some very exciting news about a new club which has recently opened in Sutton.
Don’t forget Kids’ Squad is written for our younger readers so if you want to share anything with others in the area write to Kids’ Squad, 121, Newgate Lane, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire NG18 2PA or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
IF you love ice-skating at a high level then a brand new club at Sutton’s Lammas Leisure Centre may be just the thing for you!
The new Lammas Ice Skating Club opened on 4th September with a party for skaters and their families.
Jo Bradley, the club’s secretary, said: “It was fantastic. We celebrated with a big disco at the end.
“Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.”
The new club, which replaces the Ashfield Ice Skating Club, is for people who have completed their Skate UK Passport and are being coached either at the Lammas or elsewhere.
The colourful new logo has been designed by Sacha Brunt and Sophie Mae Truepenny who are both members of of the club. The club is aimed at young people aged between eight and 21. For details call Jo on 07970784414.
