Mansfield’s Heroes Memorial Fund is making an urgent appeal to local bus and coach companies to help transport Mansfield people to Crich for the third annual sponsored March for Heroes from Crich to Mansfield.
The event raises cash for the Mansfield’s Heroes Memorial Fund, which is building a new memorial to the fallen from Mansfield and District and will also offer financial support to ex-servicemen and women in the county.
More than 100 people will be making the 14.5 mile walk on 21st May.
National bus company, Stagecoach has already provided a double decker bus and driver to take people in the morning from the Sir John Cockle pub to the Crich Memorial Ground for the start of the walk, but this is now full and march organisers are desperate to find additional transport.
Any company that can help should contact Graham Parker on 07977 448 306.
