South Normanton-based training and apprenticeship provider Positive Outcomes has hit a new record for securing work-based placements for young people across the country.

Totalled figures now reveal that during National Apprenticeship Week, which took place from 3rd to 7th March, Positive Outcomes secured 100 apprenticeships for young people aged 16 to 23 years-old.

Positive Outcomes is a leading national provider of apprenticeships, trading for almost 20 years, with 5,000 young people undertaking training each year.

The 100 vacancies created by Positive Outcomes have been pledged by 28 different employers across the country and cover all regions of England – from the Midlands to the North East, South West and South England.

Chris Longmate, Chief executive at Positive Outcomes, said the total number of pledges in one week was outstanding and showed how far businesses had come over the last few years in terms of seeing the benefits of apprenticeships.

“To create this many pledges in such a short space of time is a real achievement and everyone at Positive Outcomes is thrilled with the result,” he said.

“We think it demonstrates a real change in the psyche of business owners across the country.
