Soldiers make school's lessons more exciting
Soldiers from the British Army popped into a school in Mansfield to help make lessons more exciting for youngsters.
The four men from the Royal Engineers, based at Chetwynd Barracks in Chilwell, Nottingham, spent two days at Berry Hill Primary in their capacity as ambassadors for the school subjects of science, technology, engineering and science (STEM).
The soldiers talked to the children about their Army assignments and then asked them to design and create a model building, made out of tinfoil or straws, that was strong enough to hold a bottle of water.
