Sneak peek of new Mansfield Bar

Ciao Bella Lounge opens to the public on Wednesday, and we take you through the doors for a first look

The cocktail bar was officially opened by Mayor Kate Allsop on September 17.

Ciao Bella Lounge is next door to popular Italian restaurant Ciao Bella, and will share a kitchen.

Ciao Bella Lounge will be open to the public from 8am on Wednesday September 19 for breakfast.

As well as an extensive cocktail menu, the bar will also offer light lunches, cakes and coffee in a modern setting.

The bar also has an outdoor heated patio area.

Owner Tamer Abouelela said: "Opening this bar is a dream for me.

"It's a high-end, city style bar, and I really wanted it to stand out, it's all about being different.

"It's taken a year to get it up and running.

."We have about 20 cocktails on the menu along with upmarket beers and wines.

"We wanted to make sure customers can enjoy after dinner drinks with us.

"People tend not to go out as many nights now, so we really want our customers to make a night of it in a relaxed atmosphere.

"I want to say thank you to all the staff for their hard work, we couldn't have done it without them, and to our loyal customers who we wouldn't be here without."

The support MDC and Mayor have given Ciao Bella over the past few months have included advice on where to find suitable investment and funding for the new lounge, property leasehold support and help to identify purchase options of the site from the council.

The council also offered advice on how Ciao Bella could ask Nottinghamshire County Council Highways department to remove road signs outside the building.

Mayor Kate Allsop said: “I was delighted to cut the ribbon at the new Ciao Bella Lounge on Monday evening.

"It’s great to see a local businesses growing successfully and adding to Mansfield’s busy evening economy.

"Located on the edges of the town’s Green Flag Park, the setting is perfect for a meal and drinks with friends, the lounge will be open for breakfast and thought the day offering lite bites coffee and cocktails, this is a great venue for meeting up with friends and relaxing in fabulous stylish surroundings.”
