Ski group of the year award for Ashfield

Ashfield School has been awarded £1,000 after being named ‘group of the season’ by the firm that organised its ski trip, Interski.

Students went on a ski trip to Courmayeur in Italy at Easter and their attitude and behaviour impressed so much that they have now been named Group of the Season 2013-14.

Teacher Lynda Lyons, who led the trip, said: “The students were a credit to the school and great fun to be with. We were nominated by the hotelier and instructors and selected out of over 900 schools who travelled with Interski last season.”

Ski trip members were presented with a cheque for £1000, a framed certificate and goody bags by Interski’s MD, Colin McIntosh.
