A Skegby woman has admitted being drunk and disorderly and assaulting a police officer, while already the subject of an anti-social behaviour order (ASBO).

Police had been called to the Cedar Close home of 27-year-old Jenna Bates to find her swearing and shouting in drink. She had also punched the window of a taxi that had dropped her off.

When arrested she lashed out, kicking an officer in the knee.

Bates was given a two-year ASBO in January for her persistent drunken and rowdy behaviour, but in mitigation it was heard that she had made considerable progress.

She was given a six-month community order, a three-month 7pm-7am curfew and a pay the police officer £50 compensation.
