Six month sentence for Shirebrook cannabis grower

A man from Shirebrook has been jailed for drugs offences after appearing before magistrates in Chesterfield.

Stephen Hartnett (53) was found guilty of possession with intent to supply and the cultivation of cannabis following a recent court appearance.

The sentence comes after officers carried out a search of a property on Station Road in Shirebrook on Tuesday, August 12 2014.

Inside the address, officers seized 14 suspected cannabis plants, drugs paraphernalia and cash.

Hartnett, of Station Road, Shirebrook, was sentenced to six months imprisonment at North East Derbyshire and Dales Magistrates Court.
