A Mansfield woman spat in a bouncer’s face after she was ejected from a town centre pub for sliding down a bannister, a court heard.

Mansfield Magistrates Court was told that Stacey Martin (26), of Linden Street, Mansfield, had become abusive to doorman Wayne Thomas after he ejected her from the After Dark pub on 19th May.

Following an altercation outside the bar, Martin spat at Mr Thomas twice, the court heard on 5th June.

The defence argued that Martin denied sliding down the bannister because she had a frozen shoulder and said that Mr Thomas had been aggressive towards her client.

Martin was given a six-month curfew by magistrates and ordered to pay £200 in compensation.
