Six fire crews called to major barn blaze overnight
Six fire crews from Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire have been battling a huge barn blaze overnight.
Firefighters from Chesterfield, Mansfield, Bolsover, Staveley, Ilkeston and Ashfield attended Hall Farm at Rowthorne Lane, Rowthorne, at 11.50pm last night (Saturday, October 8).
The “well alight” barn was adjacent to another barn which was full of straw.
Firefighters used two monitors and four hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.
As of 8am this morning, the incident is still ongoing.
