Last year's Chatsworth Country Fair.

One of Derbyshire’s biggest attractions, drawing thousands of revellers year on year, is back serving up a stellar line-up once again.

With an array of top chefs, stunt motorbike shows, Medival jousting contests, an RAF plane display plus a chance for visitors to try their hand at clay pigeon shooting, this year’s Chatsworth Country Fair is expected to be one of the biggest to date.

One of the main attractions at the spectacle – which gets underway at the stately home on Friday – will be the return of Mary Berry, star of hit TV show the Great British Bake Off. She is to showcase her famous cakes and desserts and also sign copies of her new book.

Away from the cakes, the show will boast the double Michelin star prowess of Tom Kerridge, best-known from BBC2’s Proper Pub Food.

For the adrenalin seekers, the Knights of Arkley will transform the show’s Grand Ring into a medieval jousting arena showcasing battle techniques of old and a flypast will take place by the Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight as a tribute to World War Two pilots.Tickets are priced between £20-£22.50 on the gate for each day over the weekend – under 14s will go free.
