David Carr, prosecuting, said: “They were all low value thefts. They were all recorded on CCTV and the items were recovered.”

The court heard Hall had stolen £76 worth of items stolen from the One Stop Shop, £42 from the Co-Op in Carlton on Lindrick, and £25 from Marks & Spencer.

David Verity, mitigating, said: “She is finding it very difficult in prison. She has been picked on and bullied.

“She wants to re-establish herself and remain drug-free.

“The background was a serious problem relating to drugs.”

Magistrates sentenced her to 12 weeks to run at the same time as the existing sentence.
