Sherwood District Council holding information evening on how to become a councillor

An information evening on how to become a councillor will be held at at Kelham Hall, Kelham, Newark, on Tuesday, 25th November from 6-8.15pm.

The Be a Councillor campaign aims to get more people involved in running local government.

Coun Roger Blaney, Leader of Newark and Sherwood District Council, said: “To have effective, democratic local government, a council needs to have people who will give of their time to represent and stand up for their communities, make their voice heard and champion local services.”
