Serving prisoner charged with rape of girl in Mansfield
A serving prisoner has been charged with raping a young girl in Mansfield.
Carl Michael Godard, 34, appeared via videolink from HMP Nottingham at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
He denied five counts of raping the girl, who was aged 13 or under, over a four year period.
The case was sent to Nottingham Crown Court on August 31 for a pre-trial hearing.
