SERIOUS CRASH: Four people injured on main Notts road

Police are investigating a crash on the A616 in Nottinghamshire left four people needing medical treatment, two with serious injuries.

Officers were called to reports of a serious collision in the A616 between Mill Lane and Manor Road last night (16 February 2017).

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said: "The call came in just after 10pm about a crash between a car, van and lorry.

"A 64-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man were taken to hospital with injuries thought to be serious.

"A 25-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy were also taken to hospital and treated for injuries not thought to be serious.

"The road remained closed until 8.30am on February 17 while inquiries took place."

Investigators would like to speak to the driver of a lorry which is understood to have sustained minor damage in relation to the collision but may not have been aware of this at the time.
