SCORCHER ON WAY: Nottinghamshire set for hottest weather of the year- but will it last?

Nottinghamshire is bracing itself for what could be the hottest day of the year so far.

Tomorrow (Tuesday, July 19) will see temperatures soar to up to 30C across the county- hotter than Barcelona.

The mini-heatwave is due to hot air travelling across from France and Spain, forecasters say.

But it is also predicted the glorious weather will not be here to stay.

The Met Office has issued thunderstorm and rain warnings from Wednesday, with temperatures staying reasonably mild but dropping as the week goes on.
