Scooter club gears up for hospital run

MANSFIELD Roadrunners Scooter Club is staging its seventh annual Eggs to the Mill event on Sunday, 25th March - with around 500 scooterists from across the county donating money and Easter eggs to King’s Mill Hospital.

The event starts from 10.30am at the Talbot pub, Mansfield, where there will be food, music, raffles and stalls before the mass ride out leaves for the hospital at 12.15pm.

Over the past seven years the scooter riders have donated over £10,000 for the King’s Mill Neonatal Unit.

The funds are raised through a raffle, with prizes donated by individuals and businesses.

Riders will also deliver a number of Easter eggs for the hospital to distribute throughout the children’s ward and to children visiting relatives or siblings.

Eggs to the Mill is supported by the East Midlands Scooter Alliance and the East Midland scooter clubs.

Solo riders and other clubs are welcome to join in and the event continues after the hospital run, back at the Talbot pub.
